The player can decide who takes Cloud Strife on a date during the party’s second plot-related visit to Gold Saucer. The night’s date is chosen based upon the player’s dialogue choices and actions throughout the game up to that point. Depending on the player’s choices, Cloud may go on a date with Aeris , Tifa , Yuffie only if she has been recruited , or even Barret. How each character is chosen is based upon a hidden value in the game’s code, which cannot be viewed without hacking. At the game’s start, the opening values are:. As the game progresses, these values change depending upon the player’s actions. The character with the highest number of points when the date sequence occurs is the one that appears for the sequence. If there is a tie, the game chooses based on priority.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake 2: Everything we know so far
The game brings to life so many classic and iconic characters for a new generation of fans. The remake continues this plot, but further embellishes it by balancing out the time Cloud spends with both parties. Aerith and Tifa spend a lot of time together becoming friends, and many fans think their chemistry is so good the two should just ditch Cloud and date each other. So how did we get here? Additionally, we would make sure their representation in-game is balanced as well; for example, if there is a special event scene for Tifa, then we would prepare something similar for Aerith as well.

At the end of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, it’s revealed that there are at least two timelines. A previous timeline, in which the original Final Fantasy 7 took place, and the timeline we play through in 7 Remake. A super quick recap: The Dementor-like creatures that swirl around throughout the game are called Whispers.
They’re “arbiters of fate” — beings that keep the story progressing in accordance with the previous timeline aka Final Fantasy 7. They save Barret when he’s impaled by Sephiroth, because Barret doesn’t die in the original, among many other examples. You eliminate these creatures in the penultimate boss fight, meaning everything from here on out is not bound to the story in the original game.

The following page focuses on the romances in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Can you date Tifa, Aerith or Jessie? Is it possible to romance party members?
Final Fantasy 7 Remake completely recreates the opening portion of the original game, expanding a five to eight hour section into a full hour RPG. And, every single minute is a delight, with some of the best gameplay and storytelling we’ve seen in a Final Fantasy game in almost 20 years. Time played: We played 40 hours of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, finishing the Story on Normal difficulty, and finishing most, but not all, of the side quests. Like with any other art form, there are certain games that are so beloved that they become ingrained in the collective unconscious, and Final Fantasy 7 is definitely one of them.
With some of the most memorable moments of its generation, along with a beloved story line and a cast of characters that arguably hasn’t been matched in a game yet, it was only a matter of time before Final Fantasy 7 was remade for the modern age. And Final Fantasy 7 Remake has finally arrived, and it’s definitely an experience that lives up to those years of hype.
You should remember, though, that by undertaking something as gargantuan as a remake of Final Fantasy 7, there are really only two ways it can go: either a perfect recreation that doesn’t change a thing, or making drastic changes to a year-old game to bring it more in line with modern game design. Final Fantasy 7 Remake goes pretty hard in the latter direction, adding a ton of story detail, along with a completely new combat system. We were absolutely enamored with everything that was done in this sense, but just keep in mind that if you didn’t want Square Enix to touch Final Fantasy 7’s story, well, you’re going to be in for a rude awakening.
And, of course, there will be some slight spoilers ahead. If you’ve somehow avoided playing Final Fantasy 7 for the last 23 years, the basic gist is that you’re playing the shoes of Cloud Strife, a mercenary that’s been hired by Avalanche, a group of eco-activists that is fighting against a giant energy mega-corporation called Shinra.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake review
For all its hot-and-bothered flirting and eye-candy cast, Final Fantasy VII Remake doesn’t include the famous Gold Saucer date sequence from the original game. However, it does have a pretty close equivalent that’s easy to miss on your first playthrough. At the beginning of Chapter 14 , you’ll see a cutscene in the middle of the night at Aerith’s house.
One of your companions will have a sleepless night, and Cloud will venture into the garden to investigate and have a heart-to-heart chat. Here’s how your choices throughout the game will affect which of the three possible cutscenes you see. Light spoilers ahead for FF7 Remake , but we’re not spoiling the Chapter 14 secret scenes themselves.
I’m trying to go for the platinum so I’ve been using this guide: It stops after Gongaga, but obviously there’s still quite a bit of game left before .
The Gold Saucer is one of the premiere locations in Final Fantasy VII , and fans of the original are surely foaming at the mouth to see how the Remake expands on the beloved area after seeing how much love Wall Market was given. Filled with mini-games the players can indulge in, the Gold Saucer offers some of the best rewards in the entire game. Better yet, several of the mini-games are just genuinely fun to play.
All this said, perhaps the cherry on top of the Gold Saucer is the date Cloud gets to go on near the end of Disc 1. All four dates are extremely memorable, but two in particular might be worth more trouble than most players are willing to put in. Of the four possible dates Cloud can take with him when the party returns to the Gold Saucer, Yuffie is the single hardest character to go out with.
Players need to make sure to get Yuffie as soon as possible and to keep her in the party over the other girls and Barret. Interestingly, Yuffie is the most affectionate with Cloud, kissing him on the Gondola.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE
In the original game, it was possible to go out on a date with Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie or Barret during the party’s second visit to the Gold Saucer. In Final Fantasy VII Remake , the mechanics are the same — certain choices you make, usually in dialogue, invisibly affect the outcome. This means that if you’re angling for a specific character, you’ll need to be on the lookout. Here’s what you need to know about the choices that should influence the outcome in your favour.
Always answer in favor of Tifa in all dialogue choices in which she asks a question, be as positive as possible, and make sure you talk to her first when you land in the Sewers in Chapter Follow the same strategy as with Tifa, answering favourably for Aerith.
Returning to the Gold Saucer for some R&R, Cloud gets to take one lucky lady (or Barret) on the Gondola ride of a lifetime in Final Fantasy VII.

Depending on the terrain and timing of the action, the buggy, submarines, airships, and other modes of transportation may cease to move when the player embarks or disembarks.
Currently, the only fix is to restart the game from a data file saved before the bug occurred. This bug occurs most often when players embark or disembark while extremely close to the terrain, as well as during time-sensitive activities for events.
